Often overlooked in favor of more popular mountainous regions in France, Italy and Spain, Serbia offers some truly stunning mountain scenery, with far fewer tourists. Head to the village of Topli which serves as the base for many mountain hikes, ranging in difficulty from beginner to advanced.
Vilnius, Lithuania
The capital of Lithuania is packed full of stunning streets, amazing museums and brilliant places to eat and drink. Head to the old town to enjoy some traditional and beautiful architecture, and don’t miss climbing to the top of the hill fortress with the Gediminas Tower on top, for stunning views out over the city.
Galician Coast, Spain
Galicia is comparatively quiet when you look at the levels of tourism across the rest of Spain. While you won’t be guaranteed the scorching summer temperatures that the southern Spanish coast gets in summer, you can be sure of seeing some truly beautiful beaches with very few people on them!
