Slow travel is one of the most eco-friendly, authentic, and immersive ways to explore a new destination – and Bucketlist Bri swears by it. She’s lived in several different countries over the course of the past decade, and she’s using her platform to encourage other digital nomads to embrace the magic of slow travel.
Bri was just ten when she fell in love with travel, and a family trip to Belize was responsible for awakening her wanderlust. The sense of mystery, adventure, and adrenaline she felt back then followed her for the years to come, and she’s still chasing that feeling during her slow travels around the world.
Bri is exploring the world with her boyfriend, Paul, and they made a joint decision to embrace the nomadic lifestyle after falling in love in college. They lived everywhere from France and Mexico to Japan and Guatemala with their cat Yoda over the years, sticking around for prolonged periods of time at each destination.
“I think it’s especially important that, as digital nomads, we make extra effort to integrate into the communities we visit and live in. We aren’t just tourists who come and go each week. We have the opportunity to plant seeds of change and make a positive impact,” Brie writes on her travel blog.
