Edible Bath Bombs For Your Tequila

on

For those who enjoy luxuriating in a colorful bath and/or devising creative ways of getting a buzz on (ideally at the same time), a new, highly Instagrammable new cocktail accessory should be a technicolor dream come true. This new accessory is called cocktail fizzers; it’s essentially a solid ball made from real ingredients to create a margarita-flavored pellet that activates when dropped into a glass of tequila.

It creates a fizzy, bubbly, fruit-flavored cocktail, hence the name, Cocktail Fizzer. The Fizzers comes in seven exotic flavors: passion fruit, jalapeño, lychee and chia seed, tomato and thyme, celery and elderflower, pickled plum and kelp tea, and orange marmalade with sherry. Though they each put on a fittingly fizzy display, the finished drink features the same smooth and refreshing texture that’s made the margarita a staple of any cocktail bar.

The mastermind behind the Fizzer is Cory Goldstein of Muddling Memories, a hospitality company known for developing awe-inspiring cocktails. Goldstein made the drink with Patrón to get the fizzers ready in time in order to celebrate National Margarita Day on Feb. 22. The event was celebrated at New York City’s Norwood.

Before you get too excited about this new fancy accessory, there is some bad news. The Cocktail fizzlers are only available at Norwood, which is typically a members only club. However, Norwood is allowing anyone to visit the bar thanks to their partnership with Patrón. One fizzler will cost $30, while all seven flavors will cost $200, so make sure to bring your thirsty tequila loving friends too.
