Italy is Launching a New Luxury Train

With a growing interest in slow travel, Italy is setting a new standard with the launch of the Orient Express La Dolce Vita. This luxury train brings back the allure of the golden age of rail travel, combining nostalgic elegance with modern opulence.

Drawing inspiration from the iconic 1960s Italian film La Dolce Vita by Federico Fellini. The train’s design is a tribute to the lavish lifestyle and artistic richness of the era. The interiors, designed by the renowned Dimorestudio, are influenced by Italian design legends such as Giò Ponti and Gae Aulenti.

The train boasts 11 carriages, including 12 deluxe cabins, 18 master suites, and an exclusive “La Dolce Vita” suite. Each space is a masterpiece of luxury, lined with rich wood and furnished with double beds, a sofa, armchairs, and a private bathroom.

The trains showcase the best of Italy, from the snowy peaks of the Alps to the sun-kissed southern coastlines. Most journeys start from Rome, with possible destinations including major cities like Milan, Florence, and Venice, as well as the enchanting island of Sicily.

This new service invites travelers to step back in time to an era of glamor and leisure. All this while enjoying the comforts and conveniences of modern luxury travel.
