Los Angeles is the home of numerous selfie enthusiast and a haven for social media lovers. In April of 2018, a gallery in the Glendale area has opened for selfie lovers all the globe. So what is this selfie museum exhibition all about?

The Museum of Selfies is a museum that has taken famous portraits and artistic works and added a phone to the image.

The inventors of the museum, Tommy Honton and Tair Mamedov, were inspired by the fact that thousands of tourists have taken selfies with the Mona Lisa displayed in the Louvre museum in France.

In the words of the owner, the Museum of Selfies is an “interactive museum that explores the history and cultural phenomenon of the selfie…with roots dating back 40,000 years”. Therefore, this one of a kind exhibition isn’t only for social media fanatics. It’s a great choice for history lovers too!
