On Sunday, September 4th, the annual ‘Corso Zundert’ Flower Parade took place in the Netherlands. Every year, teams of volunteers competed for the best-designed flower float and the results are always beautiful. Besides the windmills and the wooden clogs, the Netherlands’ flowers are one of the prime reason to pay the peaceful European country a visit, and the Flower Parade places these blooming wonders firmly in the spotlight.
Made from thousands of dahlias, 20 different floats featured everything from mystical creatures to animals to people. Here you can see this year’s winner, titled “Dangerous Transportation”, featuring a giant orange dragon. The float and was designed by a team called Tiggelaar.
