Charleston, South Carolina
Charleston, South Carolina is where you start the trip. Spending at least two days in Charleston will give you enough time to explore everything the city has to offer, such as carriage rides through historic downtown, the Old Slave Mart Museum, and the Charleston Museum.
Savannah, Georgia
Next stop is Savannah, Georgia. This is the oldest city in Georgia and it is recommended to spend up to one or two days here. Stop by Botany Bay Island to see the beautiful beach and driftwood trees or Tybee Island, where you will find historic lighthouses. There are several restaurants and bars to choose from to wind down for the night as well.
Birmingham, Alabama
The third stop is Birmingham, Alabama. This city was the heart of the Civil Rights Movement in America. One of your first stops here should be the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute. The city also offers other attractions, such as the Vulcan Statue, Sloss Furnaces, and plenty of shopping galleries to wind down with.
Biloxi, Mississippi
Fourth stop in Biloxi, Mississippi. Biloxi is known as a hotspot for shopping. It also includes the Infinity Science Center, so if you like space and rockets, stopping here is a must.
New Orleans, Louisiana
Last stop is in New Orleans, Louisiana. Famous for the huge Mardi Gras celebrations, there is plenty of fun things to do here. Eat at Cafe Du Monde and visit the French Quarter as well.
