Makenna Greenwald stopped to clean President Trump’s Hollywood Star. She took a picture, and, obviously, Tweeted it with the caption “Stopped to clean @realDonaldTrump Hollywood Star. Nothing but respect for MY President. #RaisedRight.”
Many people really appreciated this act towards the president. Popular conservative commentators such as Sean Hannity and Cloyd Rivers retweeted it. Eric Trump, the President’s son, Tweeted the following “Thank you Makenna #MakeAmericaGreatAgain.”
Obviously, not everyone is thrilled with Makenna’s good deed. People went back to Trump’s star and messed it up all over again. One person Tweeted a picture of herself next to the re-destroyed star holding up the middle finger. She captioned this Tweet “@ the girl who cleaned Trump’s star.” Another girl Tweeted a picture of her spitting on the star and captioned it “Clean up my spit.”
Mike Cernovich responded to all of the backlash by Tweeting her picture alongside the responses and captioned it “Two Americas- which will you choose?” Shortly after, people retweeted this and wrote things such as “Can you spot the difference in attitude and composure? Who seems mature? Who seems that could handle political conversation like an adult?”
Other people responded to Cernovich’s Tweet with a more humorous tone. Tons of people posed with their favorite celebrities’ stars and wrote things such as “Stopped to clean his star. Nothing but respect for MY president. #Raisedright.” Shrek’s star was the most popularly used star for this joke.
