Planning on visiting London soon? Forget about that big fashion shopping spree and save your money for the world’s most expensive bowl of soup.
The ‘Buddha Jumps Over the Wall’ soup includes abalone, sea cucumber, dried scallops, shark’s fin, two kinds of pork and ginseng.
The soup was created in 1644, and has since been regarded as a high Chinese delicacy. The name of the soup is actually a joke. Apparently, Vegetarian monks could not resist it, and ate it in secret.
The soup is available at a restaurant called Kai Mayfair.
