Moussaka is a dish commonly enjoyed in the Middle East and the Balkans. However, the most popular version of the dish is the one that originated in Greece. It has layers of eggplant sautéed in olive oil and ground meat, usually lamb, with the addition of tomatoes, onion, garlic, and spices. It is then topped with béchamel sauce.

Spanakópita

Spanakópita is a savory pie made with thin layers of phyllo dough filled with spinach and cheese, mainly Feta, and baked until golden brown. There are several variations of the dish, including one made only with cheese.
