If you’re scared of snakes, the lha da Queimada Grande in Brazil is absolutely not the place for you.

It’s a beautiful place, located near from the Sao Paulo coast, however, it hides a very scary secret. The place it’s infested with between 2,000 and 4,000 golden vipers.

These vipers are not only scary but they are one of the deadliest snakes in the entire world.

The brave men who go there visiting once a year are the people from the navy. The Brazilian navy makes an annual stop on the island for maintenance of the local lighthouse.

The lighthouse has been automated from 1920, however, needs to be checked. On top of that, several biologists and researchers make a stop on the island to study these vipers. They really are some brave souls!
