Can You Guess How The Priciest Pie In The World Costs?

If you are looking to drop a ton of cash on a meat pie, then this is the pie for you. Available for customers at the Fence Gate Inn in Lancashire, United Kingdom, the English Waygu Beef Pie is the most expensive pie in the world according to the Guinness Book of World Records.

One slice alone will set you back close to $1800 – and that is only for a single slice! Going the whole hog will put a whopping $15,000 hole in your pocket. The pie includes close to $900 of Japanese Waygu beef. This ain’t your average hamburger meat. The cattle for this beef are so luxe, they get their own massages.

These prime cuts of meat are combined with some of the priciest mushrooms available on the market. A couple of Chinese matsutake mushrooms which are so valuable they are harvested under the watchful eyes of armed guards. A few truffles and some French Bluefoot mushrooms. Even the gravy is top notch, made with two bottles of vintage 1982 Chateau Mouton Rothschild wine which sells for close to $2,000 a bottle. The pastry of the entire creation is topped with actual gold leaf. Bet even your grandma’s Christmas pie can’t top that.
