Its vast wilderness and fascinating ecosystems mean that Botswana is one of the best places in the world to see some truly exceptional wildlife. It’s a popular destination for safaris, with certain areas standing out even more than the rest. Here are some of the top spots for seeing the most majestic, beautiful animals in the wild.

Okavango Delta

Africa is the second largest continent in the world and has a vast range of cultures, traditions, and landscapes spread across its 54 countries. Visitors are drawn to Africa each year for a variety of reasons, but a major one is the range of incredible scenery and wildlife. There is an abundance of stunning waterfalls dotted throughout the land, and many people find themselves drawn to this particular kind of natural wonder. If you are interested in the waterfalls in Africa, then here are a few of the most impressive to add to your bucket list.

Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe/Zambia

Sitting at the border of Zimbabwe and Zambia, this iconic waterfall is known as one of the seven natural wonders of the world. It’s the largest waterfall in the world, and its enormity and power will leave you at a loss for words.

Tugela Falls, South Africa

This one takes the title of Africa’s tallest waterfall, and it really is a spellbinding sight to behold the rushing water tumbling down from the Drakensberg Mountains. It’s unusual in that it has five separate falls, with the largest being 411 meters high.

Kongou Falls, Gabon

This mighty waterfall is impressively powerful despite not being particularly tall. Instead, its width is what leads to the ferocity of the water rushing over the edge. It’s Africa’s widest waterfall and is well worth the trek to its remote location to see it.
