So, typically, when you hear the term “sleeping around”, it doesn’t have the most positive connotation to it. However, one Norwegian entrepreneur, is actively changing that term from being one of shame and slightly derogatory, to being one of adventure and innovation. Geoffrey Stampaert was inspired by the current trend of “pop-ups”.

This is the story of Annette Richmond. She’s a 32-year-old stylist who posts on her Instagram account regularly with the hashtag Fat Girls Traveling. She is challenging the stereotypical ideas of what a traveler should look like. On her blog she describes herself as: “A self-proclaimed Fat Girl, I’m a staunch supporter of the Body Positive Movement.” She explains that: “Traveling is my newest obsession. I’ve visited 14 countries in the last two years. I’ve always wanted to see the world and until recently, I didn’t think that was possible. In October of 2017, I will be embarking on the adventure of a lifetime! I’ll be traveling through Asia for a year studying culture, fashion, and beauty. I am a voice for Fat Travelers.”

 This week Snapchat came out with a new Map feature. This feature opens up whenever you use two fingers and pinch the screen to simulate “zooming in.” When you do this, a giant world map appears which shows where all of your Snapchat friends are. This map is extremely accurate and shows exactly where each one of your Snapchat friends is located, down to their specific house number on their specific block. Although the viewing of your friends feature is the most notable part of this new Snapchat creation, there is another feature that not as many people are talking about: the ability to “travel” the world.

The population in Iceland is roughly 330,000 people, far fewer than some of the big cities in other countries. Most of the citizens live close to the country’s capital, Reykjavík, compacting the population together. So, it’s not hard to believe that most Icelanders are somehow related.

This weekend at Comic-Con, DC surprised everyone with a first real look at their anticipated film "Justice League" directed by Zack Snyder.
